When I heard the New York Comic Con was coming to the Jacob Javitz Center last weekend, I bought my tickets faster than a speeding bullet. I grew up collecting comic books (Sorry, DC, but I was a total Marvel kid), and while I’m long past my peak fanboy days, I still like to keep up with what’s going on in the scene when I have the chance. And, oh, by the hammer of Thor, was this my chance. For those living in Bizarro World, Comic-Con is the Mecca for fans of comic books, sci-fi, graphic novels, anime, action figures, video games—basically anything you could ever be accused of being a total nerdbot for collecting. And I’m not ashamed to say I’m guilty on several of those charges.
